The Newfoundland has a massive build that hides a sweet-tempered, loyal and patient dog. They rarely bark but they are extremely protective of their master. They are loyal and can be trusted around children. They are smart enough to sense a threat to the pack. Newfoundlands are generally mild with guests and often give them a friendly welcome.
