It is considered one of the best guard dog breeds. Most vicious Rotties are created by poor training and mishandling. In the past, they were used to carry heavy loads and were trained to protect their master and their belongings. Rottweilers are most happy when they are busy on a job. They perform well as service and therapy dogs, police and military dogs, herder, and competitors in obedience and agility trials.
