The Bichon Frise is a toy breed which possesses a fluffy hair coat. It craves the company of the human members of the pack. It is not a yapper thus it is excellent for apartment living. It possesses a happy temperament and an exceptional intelligence that makes it easy to train. They are highly sociable and will do very well in the company of other house pets. These little watchdogs may be difficult to housebreak though and can develop the so-called Small Dog Syndrome if there is no firm human leadership. They are active indoor dwellers as long as they get enough exercise. Their fluffy hair needs daily grooming and a monthly bath. Since they shed very little, the Bichon Frise is good for those prone to allergies.
